Jhang Sadar (name variants: Jhang Sadar and Jhang Maghiāna) is a city in Punjab, Pakistan, situated by the Chenab River and 193 kilometres from Lahore, at 31.28 N latitude and 72.32 E longitude. The population of Jhang Sadar was calculated to be 354,248 in 2007 (293,366 in 1998).〔 The principal trades are in wheat and cloth.〔 The Government High School Pakkay Wala is a high school situated on the Jhang-Sargodha Road. The school was established in 1926. The Govt. Islamia High School Jhang Sadar is a high school situated on the Bhakkar Road or Multan Road. The school was established in 1905.
